Hermle has been manufacturing high-precision gears and pinions, which we also use for the production of our clockworks, for decades. Over time, the high quality of these turned parts has resulted in us becoming a sought-after manufacturer of sophisticated small and miniature turned parts that we make for many customers.

We are certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and process a wide range of materials. All of our turned parts are naturally available with all standard surface treatments. We manufacture gear parts, such as gears, on our own machines. Thanks to their outstanding precision, we can produce these parts in a significantly higher quality than previously possible.

We are now known far beyond the Swabian Alps – not only for our precision and reliability but also our willingness to produce challenging parts and to comply with custom requests. The combination of experience, an innovative team and cutting-edge machinery make us an ideal problem solver for many of our customers – including for complicated turned parts.

We also produce assemblies for our customers. For example, that means that we manufacture two individual turned parts and then fit them together. This is a service that is increasingly being utilized. Our customers benefit from having everything supplied from a single source – without additional suppliers.

Our product range includes rotor shafts, pinion shafts and gears with external teeth. This includes toothed segments, worm gears and special profiles, which we manufacture according to your individual requirements.

The proper processing method for each material

We process a wide range of materials and offer our customers all turned parts with all known surface treatments. We greatly value quality, which begins with the purchase of the raw materials we use.

During production, the processing of each individual material requires its own special approach. Thanks to our experience and our state-of-the-art machinery, this is no problem for us. We manufacture CNC lathes and are able to machine turning parts with diameters from 1 to 38 millimetres.

Interlocking at it's best

Hermle has been a reliable partner in turned parts production for many years. Thanks to our extensive experience in the manufacture of watch movements, we have been involved with all forms of gearing from an early stage. There is no doubt that interlocking parts are the heart of every gearbox. We stand for the highest level of manufacturing expertise in the field of interlocking and produce ground external cylindrical gears for you, from prototype to large-scale production. Our strengths lie especially in small and very small gears. The smaller and more difficult the interlocking, the more attractive it becomes for us. Although we can draw on an interlocking pool of almost 101 years, we are still learning every day.

Customized solutions from a single source

Especially in the area of turned parts, Hermle is known for creative, individual solutions. Typical examples: a customer has a manufacturing problem with a certain part. Or he needs a new part, but does not know whether and how to manufacture it most efficiently. Another customer has previously purchased his parts from us and processed them further. Suddenly there are technical changes, e.g. because of changes in the product range. A third customer has to have the turned parts purchased from us reworked in additional work steps and would like to reduce these additional costs.

We discuss all these questions in detail and look for the optimal solution together. This can be just a small change or a completely new procedure in the production process. Of course, every suggestion is thoroughly checked before the production process is adapted.
